St Louis CITY2 defender Owen Jorgensen has earned his first call-up to the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team for its upcoming international training camp in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain from September 21 through October 4, as the team begins preparations ahead for the 2027 CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers.Â
Jorgensen and his teammates will play four matches at Pinatar Arena during the camp. They will first face Scotland first on September 26, followed by matches against the Netherlands on September 29 and Belgium on October 1, before finishing the training camp against France on October 3.Â
This will be Jorgensen’s first call up to the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team after he previously made seven appearances at the U-15 level.Â
Jorgensen has been a steady presence in CITY2’s backline during his first professional season, making 14 appearances and 12 starts, while logging 985 minutes. The defender scored his first professional goal on July 18 against Portland Timbers2. Jorgensen has recorded the highest passing accuracy on CITY2’s roster this season.
