CITY SC Kicks Off the MLS Sprint Season on Saturday, February 20 Against LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park; Every CITY SC Match Will Stream Live on Apple TV 

The 2027 Sprint Season Home Opener is on Saturday, February 27 vs. Austin FC

St. Louis CITY SC released its full 14-match 2027 MLS sprint season schedule, featuring seven home games and seven away games, highlighted by a home opener against Austin FC on Saturday, February 27. Regular season matches will consist of intra-conference play, with CITY SC facing each of its Western Conference opponents once.  

CITY SC opens the sprint season on Saturday, February 20, facing LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park. The club’s home opener will be the following Saturday, February 27, against Austin FC, with the season's earliest kickoff set for 3:00 p.m. CT. This season features just two two-game homestands: March 6-20 against Houston Dynamo and LAFC, and April 17-21 against Colorado Rapids and San Jose Earthquakes. On April 3, CITY SC will face cross-state rivals Sporting KC at Sporting Park. The regular season will wrap up at Energizer Park on May 8, with the team playing Seattle Sounders. 

In addition to MLS regular season play, CITY SC will begin its U.S. Open Cup title defense in the new year while also competing in the 2027 Leagues Cup and 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup. The club will also prepare for MLS’s calendar shift to a summer-to-spring competition, with the 2027-28 season beginning in July 2027 and ending with MLS Cup in May 2028. The new calendar will better align MLS with Europe’s top leagues and transfer windows, allowing teams to bring in summer signings at the start of the season. 

At the conclusion of the 2027 regular season, the top eight teams in each of the Eastern and Western conferences will qualify for the Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs. In each conference, the postseason will be played in a single-elimination bracket format to determine a conference champion that will advance to the MLS Cup Final held on Memorial Day Weekend. Five Concacaf Champions Cup berths will be determined by 2027 MLS Sprint Season results, and 18 teams will qualify for Leagues Cup, nine from each conference.Information on nationally televised matches and Sunday Night Soccer matches will be shared at a later date.   

Tickets for the home opener are available to season ticket members and myCITY+ members on October 30 at 10:00 AM CT, with tickets opening to the general public later that day at 1 p.m. CT. Fans can purchase tickets through SeatGeek, the club’s Official Ticketing Partner, as well as stlcitysc.com and the official STL CITY SC app.
