St. Louis CITY SC Homegrown Winger Mykhi Joyner Called Up to U.S. U-19 Men’s Youth National Team Camp

St. Louis CITY SC Homegrown forward Mykhi Joyner has been called up to the U.S. U-19 MNT camp in Albir, Spain from June 2 to June 11, led by Head Coach, Rob Valentino. This is the third call-up of Joyner’s youth national team career with the United States.

Joyner and the U-19s will face Spain on June 7 and a to be announced opponent on June 10. The forward’s first call-up with the U-19s came in October 2024 and his second was just one month later in November.

The 18-year-old signed a first-team Homegrown contract with CITY SC in July 2024 and made his MLS debut against Seattle Sounders FC on July 17. This season, Joyner has joined CITY SC’s first team five times, making four appearances with the squad thus far. Joyner made his first start with CITY SC in U.S. Open Cup action against Union Omaha, playing 90 minutes in the team’s 2-0 victory to advance to the Round of 16.

Joyner has also seen playing time with St Louis CITY2, recently scoring a brace against Minnesota United FC 2, before an outstanding performance against Portland Timbers2 where he recorded four goals in a single match, making him the first player in club history to earn that achievement. He also became the fifth player all time in MLS NEXT Pro history to score four goals in a single match. Joyner is tied for first in MLSNP in goals scored with eight. Additionally, Joyner was named MLS NEXT Pro Player of Matchweek 11 for his four-goal performance.
