St. Louis CITY SC Homegrown midfielder Tyson Pearce has been called up to the U.S. U-18 MNT. Pearce will take part in the U18 MNT UEFA Friendship Tournament in Nyon, Switzerland from May 28 to June 11.
The U18 MNT will play four matches over the duration of the tournament, which was established in 2024 to bring players from across the world to gain exposure to international soccer. Pearce and the U18’s will kick things off against France on June 1, then face Argentina on June 4, Australia on June 7, and wrap things up against one other international team on June 10.
This will be Pearce’s second call-up to the U18 MNT and third overall in his professional career after receiving his first call-up to the U16s in 2023. Pearce has started ten matches for St Louis CITY2 in MLS NEXT Pro action this season, contributing to the team’s 6-4-1 record, which has them in sole possession of second place in the Western Conference. In his professional career, Pearce has made 42 appearances, starting 35 matches for 3,250 minutes.
Pearce started and played 89 minutes in CITY2’s dominant 6-3 defeat over Portland Timbers2 on Friday, May 23.
