Match Report | St Louis CITY2 Earns 3-0 Win and Sixth Clean Sheet of the Season Against Real Monarchs on Sunday Night

St Louis CITY2 earned a 3-0 shutout win over Real Monarchs on Sunday night at Energizer Park. After scoreless first half action, CITY2 opened the scoring in the 51st minute with Zach Zengue scoring his first goal for the club. Miguel Perez made it 2-0 in the 64th minute, opening his scoring account in 2026 off an assist from Zengue. Riley Lynch added a third goal for St. Louis in the 86th minute, notching his fourth goal of the season and securing three points for CITY2. Palmer Ault recorded two assists on Zengue and Lynch’s goals. With the win, the club earned their eighth victory of the season and sixth clean sheet in 2026. 

CITY2 will hit the road to face Colorado Rapids 2 on Saturday, August 8 with kickoff set for 8:00 p.m. CT at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park.
