Match Report | St Louis CITY2 Draws Portland Timbers2 1-1 on Monday Afternoon at Providence Park

St Louis CITY2 extended their unbeaten streak to eight matches with a 1-1 draw at Providence Park on Monday afternoon. After a scoreless first half, CITY2 got on the board in the 63rd minute through a set-piece goal scored by Zack Lillington. The goal was Lillington’s third of the season and Zach Zengue’s third assist of 2026. Timbers2 found the equalizer in second half stoppage time via a penalty kick scored by Sawyer Jura. Portland went on to win the penalty shootout 6-5 following regulation.  

CITY2 returns home to face Austin FC II for their final regular season match, next Sunday, September 20. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. CT at Energizer Park.

  • Zack Lillington scored his third goal of the season 
  • Zach Zengue picked up his third assist of 2026. Zengue has seven goal contributions (four goals, three assists), in his last nine matches since joining CITY SC on loan from Columbus Crew
