St. Louis CITY SC fell 2-1 against Portland Timbers at CITYPARK on Saturday night. After a scoreless first half, Portland Timbers took the lead through Evander who converted a penalty kick in the 63rd minute. Célio Pompeu equalized in the 79th minute for CITY SC, but Portland found the winner three minutes later through Yimmi Chará. 

Célio Pompeu Continues Form 

Following a three-assists performance in the U.S. Open Cup against Union Omaha, Célio Pompeu followed up with a bang, scoring his first MLS goal tonight against Portland Timbers. The midfielder subbed on in the 67th minute and immediately prove to be a threat for the opposition.
