St. Louis CITY SC split points with Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday night at Energizer Park, drawing their rivals 2-2. CITY SC jumped ahead via a goal from Célio Pompeu in the 15th minute before Cedric Teuchert and Tomáš Ostrák connected in the 44th minute, with Teuchert scoring a feed from Ostrák to double the lead. During the second half, SKC scored twice to ultimately end the match in a draw. St. Louis will now begin a busy week, facing Minnesota United FC twice over the next week. CITY will play MNUFC in MLS action on Saturday, May 17, and then square off against the Loons in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 on Wednesday, May 21.
