With Monday's goal, Lillington now leads all CITY2 defenders in goals this season. Zengue recorded his third assist of the year during the match. The midfielder has seven goal contributions (four goals, three assists) in his last nine matches since joining CITY SC on loan from Columbus Crew. Â
St. Louis has never lost at home on Decision Day since joining the league in its inaugural 2022 season. Austin enters Sunday as the top team in the Western Conference with an 18-3-6 record and 62 points. The Verde and Black earned a narrow 1-0 win over Colorado Rapids 2 last weekend on a stoppage-time penalty kick.
