Following a hard-fought battle against Sporting KC last weekend, St. Louis CITY SC U17s will resume their MLS NEXT season against Houston Dynamo’s U17 team at Houston Sports Park on Saturday, November 6 at 12 p.m. CST. After last Saturday’s stalemate with Sporting KC, the team will be eager to get back to their winning ways.

When the team had to come back to earn a point last weekend, it was clear their intensity and passion in the second half was too much to handle for the opposition. The boys will need to replicate a similar mindset for a full 90 minutes this weekend when they come up against a solid Houston Dynamo team, who are currently on a three-game unbeaten streak.

“Last week’s second half performance is a good benchmark for the team,” explained Lutz Pfannenstiel, St. Louis CITY Sporting Director. “We have talented players and as we look to continue developing our playing style, we have to ensure that we have the right mentality going into every game. This game should provide us with another challenge, but we are looking forward to it.”

Houston Dynamo’s U17s have won their last two games, outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 9-2. Despite their recent run of form, they are still looking for their first victory at home in MLS NEXT action. With STL CITY also looking to improve their away record, fans should expect an intense battle of attacking soccer.
