St. Louis CITY SC forward Damion Downs has been named to the U.S. U-23 Men's National Team's (USMNT) roster for the upcoming November international window with training camp held in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain. Â
The U-23 USMNT will play two friendly matches overseas in Spain against Scotland on November 15 and Ukraine on November 17, led by newly appointed head coach Steve Cherundolo as the team prepares for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics games. Â
Downs joined CITY SC on loan this summer from Southampton FC and has made nine appearances, including his first start for the club against Portland Timbers on October 28. The forward made two appearances in the U.S. Open Cup, including scoring a penalty kick in the team’s 5-3 shootout win over Columbus Crew in the U.S. Open Cup Final. Downs spent time with the U.S. U-23's twice in his career, making two starts and scoring one goal against Ukraine earlier this year.
