Fresh off their historic, recording-breaking inaugural MLS season, St. Louis CITY SC will kick off the 2024 season at CITYPARK, making their debut in the CONCACAF Champions Cup against Houston Dynamo. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. CT.

Fans will be able to follow and enjoy the competition through the Confederation's TV partner networks, including FOX Sports | Tubi (USA-English), TUDN | ViX (USA-Spanish), Fox Sports Mexico (Mexico-Spanish), ESPN | Star+ (Central America, Caribbean, and South America), and the Concacaf Official Platforms for all other territories (subject to territory restrictions).

St. Louis qualified for the CONCACAF Champions Cup after finishing first in the MLS Western Conference last season. St. Louis became the second expansion team in MLS history along with Seattle Sounders (2009) to qualify for the competition in their first year.

CITY SC kicked off their inaugural season in record-setting fashion, earning five victories in their first five matches, a feat that had never been accomplished by an expansion team in league history. CITY SC finished the regular season with a 17-12-5 record, 56 points accumulated, 62 goals scored, and plus-17 goal differential. St. Louis saw 16 different goal scorers in the MLS regular season which tied Charlotte FC (2022) for the most goal scorers for an expansion team in MLS history.

Thanks to the amazing supporters in St. Louis, all 17 home matches at CITYPARK last season were sold out, which helped to create one of the most unique atmospheres in the league. On the field, St. Louis made CITYPARK a fortress, earning 35 points - the second most home points by an expansion team in their inaugural season and scored 41 goals. St. Louis CITY SC’s 11 home wins last season tied Atlanta United for the most by an expansion team in their inaugural season.

St. Louis and Houston have squared off twice in MLS, with St. Louis earning four points from a possible six. At CITYPARK last season, CITY SC came away with a 3-0 win with goals from Eduard Löwen, Tomáš Ostrák and Niko Gioacchini. At Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, CITY SC forward João Klauss scored a late equalizer to secure a point on the road.

CITY SC vice-captain Tim Parker will again go up against some familiar faces on Tuesday. The defender was named captain for Houston in 2021 and started in 60 of the 62 matches he appeared in the last two seasons in Houston prior to joining CITY SC.
