St. Louis CITY SC will welcome English Premier League side Aston Villa to Energizer Park on Wednesday, July 30 at 7:30 p.m. CT for an international friendly that brings one of Europe’s most in-form clubs to the heart of St. Louis. The match marks just the second senior international friendly to be held at the stadium, following CITY2’s debut exhibition against Bayer Leverkusen in 2022. Fans can watch the match locally on FOX2.
Aston Villa arrive in St. Louis off the back of an impressive 2024–25 season under head coach Unai Emery. The club finished sixth in the Premier League, securing European qualification, and reached the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League, a major achievement as they re-established themselves among Europe’s elite.
