St. Louis CITY SC has signed midfielder Cam Cilley to a short-term loan agreement from the club’s MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, St Louis CITY2. Cilley will be available for tonight’s MLS match against Minnesota United, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT at Allianz Field.

Cilley spent time with the first team during preseason, featuring in three friendly matches before returning to CITY2’s camp. Since joining CITY2 in 2024, the Alamo, California native has made 25 appearances, helping the team to the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference Final.

A former Homegrown player for the San Jose Earthquakes, Cilley made two MLS appearances in 2023, including his debut on July 12.

Per MLS rules, short-term agreements allow clubs to temporarily add players from their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate for MLS, U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions Cup, Canadian Championship, and exhibition matches. A player may be included on up to four MLS regular season matchday rosters per year and appear in a maximum of two league matches under such agreements. There is no limit for non-league competitions.
