Iconic St. Louis fashion brand drops its first line of Major League Soccer gear
Major League Soccer’s first majority female-led ownership group, St. Louis CITY SC, is partnering with another iconic STLMade brand, Lusso, to introduce a new line of CITY SC apparel and accessories for fashion-forward female soccer fans.
The CITY SC x Lusso collection, designed by Lusso co-founders and sisters Drea Ranek and Melissa Nieberle, features the brand’s signature look of luxe fabrics and distinct attention to detail. Lusso, founded in 2000, has worked with a number of other professional sports leagues and teams, but is making its Major League Soccer debut with this new CITY SC collaboration.
“St. Louis CITY SC and Lusso are two St. Louis female-owned businesses uniting to make soccer relevant in the world of fashion,” said St. Louis CITY SC’s Director of Retail Julie Marsh. “Lusso’s sports designs exude an elevated level of style that we know our fans are craving. We are thrilled to combine fashion and fandom by featuring Lusso’s exclusive CITY SC designs at CITY Pavilion.”
CITY x Lusso incorporates the CITY SC name, crest and signature colors into garments crafted with Lusso’s luxe fashion twists. Styles include a black vegan-leather moto jacket; a 5-piece color block capsule, which includes cotton modal cropped joggers and quarter-zip sweaters detailed in CITY Red piping; and knit hats and Swarovski-encrusted custom patches.
“We are all about bringing fashion to sports, and we sweat every detail to make sure women show up in style on gameday and every day,” said Melissa Nieberle.
