St. Louis CITY SC has acquired 22-year-old midfielder Charles-Emile Brunet on loan from Nashville SC through the end of the 2026 season in exchange for $50,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM), with CITY SC holding a permanent trade option at the conclusion of the loan.

“Adding Charles gives us some depth in the midfield as we head into the final stretch of the season,” said Corey Wray. “He’s a technical, young player who can contribute on both sides of the ball and provide some versatility to our group. We’re excited to bring him in and see how he can contribute.”

Selected by Nashville SC in the third round of the 2026 MLS SuperDraft, Brunet has made seven appearances across all competitions this season, including his MLS debut against DC United on May 9.

A native of Montreal, Brunet came through the CF Montréal Academy before playing collegiate soccer at Central Arkansas, where he registered two goals and one assist in 16 appearances as a freshman. He then transferred to Southern Methodist University, tallying two goals and six assists in 20 appearances.
