St Louis CITY2 extended their unbeaten streak to ten games with a 4-0 victory over Minnesota United FC 2 on Sunday night at Energizer Park. Brendan McSorley scored the first goal of the night for CITY2 in the 14th minute off a corner kick from Miguel Perez. It was Perez who found the back of the net just 10 minutes later, earning his fifth goal of the season. CITY2 entered halftime with a dominant, 2-0 lead and held Minnesota to zero shots on goal in the first half. In the second half, Cam Cilley scored his first professional goal, then followed it up with his first professional assist, setting up Caden Glover for his second goal of the year. With the shutout win, CITY2 remains at the top of MLS NEXT Pro overall standings with 43 points, picking up their thirteenth win. The squad also recorded their seventh shutout of the year.

CITY2 will head to Canada to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 for the first and only time this season on Wednesday, August 6 at 8:00 p.m. CT at Swangard Stadium.
