In second half play, Houston scored in the 48th minute to tie the match at 1-1 but St Louis responded with a goal from Brendan McSorley three minutes later to make it 2-1. Emil Jääskeläinen earned his first professional assist on the goal. Miguel Perez added to the scoresheet in the 75th minute to secure the 3-1 win for CITY2 and earn three points on the night. Additionally, St Louis CITY2 set a new MLS NEXT Pro attendance record of 12,263. St Louis will head to The Town FC next Sunday, May 11, at 7:00 p.m. CT.
