St Louis CITY2 picked up their fifth straight win with a 3-1 victory over The Town FC on Sunday night at Energizer Park. Matteo Kidd kicked things off for CITY2 in the first half, netting his third goal of the season. Brendan McSorley, who leads the team in assists, recorded his fourth of the season on the play. The Town FC scored their lone goal in the 27th minute, and the teams entered halftime tied 1-1. With the game heading for a draw, CITY2 earned a penalty in the 83rd minute which was converted by Mykhi Joyner for his ninth goal of the season. Caden Glover sealed the win with his first goal of the season, securing all three points for St Louis. With the win, CITY2 extended their win streak to five matches and are now tied with Ventura County FC for first place in MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference. St Louis CITY2 will face Houston Dynamo 2 at home next Saturday, June 28 at 5:30 p.m. CT.
