Match Report | St. Louis CITY SC Wins 3-1 Against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday Night at BC Place

St. Louis CITY SC earned its first ever win at Vancouver Whitecaps FC and extended its unbeaten streak to 14 matches across all competitions on Saturday night. The Whitecaps got on the board first just two minutes into the match with a goal from Emmanuel Sabbi. But Simon Becher once again found the back of the net, scoring his fifth goal in five consecutive matches. In the 41st minute, Tomas Totland gave CITY SC the 2-1 lead with his second goal of the season. Just four minutes later, Conrad Wallem extended St. Louis’ lead to 3-1 before halftime with his first goal of the year. CITY SC held Vancouver to zero shots on goal in the second half to help secure the team’s tenth win of the season. With the win tonight, St. Louis moved into fifth place in the Western Conference standings with 37 points. 

St. Louis will head back stateside to Providence Park to face the Portland Timbers on Wednesday, September 9, with kickoff set for 9:30 p.m. CT.
