St. Louis CITY SC was edged 2-1 by San Diego FC on Saturday night at Energizer Park. The teams played to a scoreless first half, with the visitors breaking the deadlock through a goal from Milan Iloski in the 79th minute. San Diego added to their advantage just before second half stoppage time. Kyle Hiebert returned the favor with a goal just a few minutes later, getting CITY SC on the board, but the team could not complete the comeback before the final whistle. St. Louis returns to action on Wednesday, May 14, in a midweek showdown with cross-state rivals Sporting Kansas City at 7:30 pm CT at Energizer Park.
