Match Report | St. Louis CITY SC Earns a Point on the Road After 1-1 Draw with FC Dallas on Saturday

St. Louis CITY SC picked up a point on the road after a 1-1 draw against FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium on Saturday night. The match remained scoreless through the first half until FC Dallas’ Louicius Deedson scored two minutes into the second half. CITY SC outshot Dallas, five to three, and found the equalizer through Timo Baumgartl in the 61st minute. Baumgartl scored his first career MLS goal, while Daniel Edelman recorded his team-leading third assist of the season. Tonight’s draw at Toyota Stadium extended St. Louis’ unbeaten streak to three matches.  

St. Louis CITY SC will begin their U.S. Open Cup journey this Wednesday, April 15 at 7 p.m. CT, facing USL Championship side FC Tulsa at Energizer Park. CITY SC will then travel to take on Seattle Sounders in MLS regular season play next Saturday, April 18, with kickoff slated for 8:30 p.m. CT.
