St Louis CITY2 returns home to Energizer Park as they square off against Houston Dynamo 2 on Sunday, May 4 at 4:00 p.m. CT. The match will be streamed on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.

Last Saturday, CITY2 suffered just their second away defeat falling 4-1 to Tacoma Defiance. The Defiance opened the scoring with an own goal. CITY2 dominated possession throughout the first half but were unable to find the back of the net. In the second half, Tacoma notched three more goals to go up 4-0, but Matteo Kidd got CITY2 on the board in the 88th minute. The goal was Kidd’s first of the season.

CITY2 rookies, Lorenzo Cornelius and Emiliano Chavez made their debuts on Saturday night playing 18 and 14 minutes respectively. Cornelius made an impressive impact playing three key passes including the set up for Matteo Kidd’s goal.

St Louis is 3-3-1 all-time against the Dynamo Dos. The teams split the season series last year, as both teams earned one win each and tied 1-1 in the final meeting in 2024. CITY2’s one win against Houston last year occurred at Energizer Park as Ryan Becher scored his first professional goal during the match.

Through three games at home this season, CITY2 has only conceded one goal which came against Colorado Rapids 2 on April 6 and has picked up four out of seven possible points at home.

Houston enters Sunday’s contest with a 5-2-0 record sitting atop the MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference standings. The club’s two losses have occurred on the road as they fell 1-0 to Ventura County FC and 3-1 to Minnesota United FC 2 in March. The Dynamo Dos have had nine different goal scorers this season with two players, Diego Gonzalez and Exon Arzu, boasting three goals each. However, Dynamo 2 lead MLS NEXT Pro in yellow cards (22).
