Last Time Out

St. Louis CITY SC played to a scoreless draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Wednesday night at Energizer Park, securing the club's first Audi MLS Cup Playoffs berth since its inaugural 2023 season. The result also extended CITY SC's unbeaten streak across all competitions to 21 matches, setting a new MLS record. CITY's defense limited the Western Conference leaders to just one shot on target, while goalkeeper Roman Bürki recorded his fourth shutout of the regular season.

Historic Unbeaten Run

CITY SC enters Saturday's matchup riding a 21-match unbeaten streak across all competitions, the longest such run in MLS history. Since turning results around in May, St. Louis has climbed the Western Conference standings and secured a playoff spot with five regular-season matches remaining. CITY will look to continue its momentum and has a chance to set the MLS regular season record of longest-unbeaten run, which is currently held by the 2004 Columbus Crew team at 19 games.

St. Louis CITY SC vs. Minnesota United FC

Saturday's match marks the second meeting between the two clubs this season. CITY SC earned a 4-2 victory over Minnesota at Energizer Park on September 12, with Rafael Navarro scoring twice and Carlo Holse and Daniel Edelman also finding the back of the net. The result marked St. Louis' second-ever victory over Minnesota. CITY will now look to earn its second-ever win at Allianz Field, where the club secured its first victory during its inaugural 2023 season.

Scouting Minnesota United FC

Minnesota United FC enters Saturday's matchup with a 7-12-10 record and 31 points, sitting 13th in the Western Conference standings. The Loons have gone eight consecutive matches without a win, most recently playing to a 2-2 draw against the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday night. Forward Kelvin Yeboah has continued his strong form, scoring his 16th goal of the season against Colorado to establish a new single-season scoring record for the club. Yeboah has recorded at least one goal contribution in nine consecutive matches.
