St. Louis CITY SC will once again participate in eMLS for the 2022 season and has re-signed its “homegrown player” – Hasib Zulfic – to represent the team on the virtual pitch.

Zulfic was born in Zenica, Bosnia & Herzegovina, but moved to the United States a year later. By age 5, he and his family had settled in St. Louis where Zulfic grew up playing soccer with the St. Louis Dragons and other youth clubs. He started playing FIFA in 2008, fueling his passion and talent for the sport and comes to CITY ranked a Top 12 player in the America’s Region. As a “homegrown player,” Zulfic is eager to continue representing his city as the club’s eMLS player.

With STL CITY’s historic inaugural MLS season still a year away, the club is looking forward to joining the 2022 eMLS season on the virtual pitch to excite and delight our fans. Launched in January 2018 and coming off a completely virtual 2021 eMLS season which received over 9.8 million views on Twitch across its six broadcasts, eMLS is Major League Soccer’s competitive EA SPORTS™ FIFA League and has been a groundbreaking platform sitting at the intersection of gaming and soccer culture.

The complete eMLS 2022 schedule and further details on eMLS Cup, including player announcements and tournament structure, will be shared as the season draws closer. STL CITY fans can also expect to see more of Hasib on the club’s social channels and on the STL CITY app in 2022.
