Sergio Rivas

Sergio Rivas signs with St. Louis CITY2 as a midfielder for the club’s inaugural 2022 season, joining the club from Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL) men’s soccer team.

Originally from Mexico City, Mexico, Rivas moved to Eden Prairie, Minn. in 2007 and played for Minnetonka High School, where he scored 24 goals and grabbed another 15 assists throughout his high school career. After graduating, Rivas started his college career at WUSTL, and has received multiple postseason accolades as a First Team United Soccer Coaches All-American and All-Region selection, and First Team All-UAA honors. In his most recent season, he notched eight goals (including two game-winners) and a team-best five assists in 16 games.
